Hey there, my name is Kate and I am a book/movie/television/music/everything blogger hailing from the lovely state Iowa, although I currently call Minnesota my home.

I graduated in December of 2011 from Drake University with my BA in Magazine Journalism with a concentration in Art. Immediately after graduation I began a year-long fellowship with Time Inc.’s Lifestyle Group, where I worked on the digital versions of Coastal Living and Southern Living magazines, as well as MyRecipes.com.

My different jobs have brought me across the U.S., including an internship for E! Online in Los Angeles. I’m so happy to be back in the Midwest. In my current full-time position, I work as a content strategist/writer for a Minneapolis-based marketing agency. In March of 2017, I also began freelancing for Book Riot and regularly reviewing pre-releases.

If it isn’t clear yet, I am a huge fan of pop culture. My typical week is inundated by 20+ television shows and an average of 5 books. I love tv and I love books. Hence, this blog.
